It was time to head to the beach! The first weekend of June was VBS at the Holy Spirit, and we went to the Rocky Point Lighthouse! It was a great weekend "at the shore" learning that God is our light, and learning ways to shine our light. We had several friends come and participate with us - we had a blast!
Candice lead the music, opening and closing ceremonies. Paul made a special appearance as Light Man and taught the kids how much fun it is to shine your light! Any man who is willing to be wrapped in rope light and dance around is a man who loves his kids. Paul/Light Man was a hit, and the kids reported he was their favorite part. Sunday morning, Candice led the kids while they lead the sermon and service music. We think it was the best VBS. Plus, it included "Amazing Grace," "This Little Light of Mine," and several Chris Rice songs - great music!
